Bob and Hope Stirk were nominated to be honored as Friends of Education by Mike Thaine.  They were honored at the January meeting of the Albion Board of Education.  Here is what Mr. Thaine wrote:

“Despite the fact that they have no children or grandchildren in the Albion Central School, they attend virtually EVERY high school band or chorus performance that takes place. They just love to hear our kids perform. They’re at every concert, every musical theatre performance, they attend our Instrumental Chamber Ensembles concert at St. Joseph’s church each spring, and even attended the Eastman at Albion concert in order to hear our clarinet choir and select vocal choruses.  Their support of our high school student-musicians and what they do is fantastic and appreciated by our students.”
