History of the Chevron
We have come to know the Chevron as our yearbook, but it actually started out in 1912 as a periodically published paper or magazine! Check out the write up in the very first edition in 1912 that explains how they came up with the name “Chevron”. You’ll need to read both photos because the article wraps to a second page….and, while you’re reading the second page, go ahead and read the other great articles!
To quote that article: “So every time we see or hear the word Chevron, let it remind us of our duty to the paper and the school it represents, and let it arouse in us an abundance of honest school spirit.”
