The Albion HS Alumni Foundation has some great things planned to help celebrate this annual tradition!
Interested in what the kids are going to be doing every day in school during Homecoming week?
Coming to the big game? The Alumni Foundation will be there! For the past 20+ years, the Alumni Foundation has sold popcorn and trinkets to raise funds for our scholarship programs. This year, in addition to our popcorn booth, we’re adding a new feature that we hope you’ll enjoy:
ALUMNI VIP TENT
This will be a great place to stop in and meet with fellow alumni, obtain information about what the Foundation is doing, get in on the raffle to win a custom embroidered purple Alumni Foundation shirt, browse through old Chevrons, and have your photo taken as a way to cheer on our current senior class – the class of 2015! AHS graduate, Laura Marek, has hand crafted a great frame for alumni to pose with. We will be using these photos on social media, this blog, our website, and our newsletter to encourage and show support to our seniors as they round out their last year of high school. We’d also love for you to leave your best advice / words of wisdom for the class of 2015 and those students who will be following them into college and/or the workforce – we plan to post these on the blog and other social media outlets, as well.
Looking for a gathering place after the game (or for dinner before the game)? Head over to The Crooked Door – AHS alumnus, Sue Schafer Holmes has partnered with the Foundation to make the Crooked Door Tavern the official “After Game Meet-Up” location! Her bar staff has created a special signature drink – Purple Eagle-Tini – (a layered martini-type drink made with Chambord, 99 Grapes Schnapps, and Blue Curacoa – cost = $8.00) – $1.00 from each drink sold on October 3rd will be donated to the Alumni Foundation for scholarships! She’ll also have some appetizer specials and DJ Dan will be there to provide musical entertainment! (click here for more info)
So……get your spirit on…….show your pride by wearing purple and white this week…….come out to the big game on Friday October 3rd……..be sure to stop in at the Alumni Foundation VIP Tent to say hello and check out what we’re up to……..and, don’t forget to pop in at The Crooked Door Tavern to have a Purple Eagle-Tini!!!
