Nicholas Kovaleski Memorial Scholarship

Description:  This scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior in memory of Nicholas Kovaleski who passed away in 2011 at the age of 15. Nicholas had an inner drive to “Live with Purpose” and adopted that phrase as his motto. Through volunteerism, and membership to a wide variety of interests (athletics, band, chorus, boy scouts and altar serving) his love of family, friends and community were evident in his purposeful interactions and relationships. This scholarship is awarded to a student who exemplifies the excellent character and citizenship that Nicholas exuded every day of his life.

Selection criteria:  Need, Community service, character, school involvement, essay, career goals

Who Selects:   The Kovaleski Family

Criteria to earn: Graduating seniors who exhibit excellent character and citizenship and demonstrate a desire to “be present” for others in their daily lives. 

Funding:   $500 awarded at class night
