Name: Edward Fancher Memorial Scholarship
Description: This scholarship was established in honor of Edward Fancher, who exemplified a life of service. He served his community in countless ways; as treasurer, board member, volunteer, and more. He also served the community and those with economic need, in his career as executive director of Community Action of Orleans and Genesee. This scholarship was made possible through generous donations, and is awarded to recognize exceptional service and involvement in the community in a student with economic need.
Selection criteria: Economic need, community involvement, essay, academic achievement, and a career goal of working in a non-profit agency
Who Selects: Selection committee, Fancher Family, Bonnie Malakie
Criteria to earn: Completion of one year of college (minimum 24 credits) and a 3.0 GPA or above preferred
Funding: Annually at this time
