This is the time of year when we emphasize the good that we see in the world.  Ed Fancher (83’) was one of the good guys who always focused on serving others in need through his work as executive director of Community Action and by his numerous volunteering efforts with multiple organizations.  He set the gold standard for how we should treat one another, and what we should strive to be. His kindness and compassion went far beyond our organization and touched our community. His impact was most felt by those who needed it most. For decades children opened Christmas presents, families shared thanksgiving dinners, graduates bought schoolbooks and paid tuition in no small part thanks to the time and efforts of Ed Fancher.

Ed left us much too soon in 2020. A $2,500 scholarship was established in his honor and presented annually during Class Night. It was made possible through generous donations by family and friends, and is awarded to recognize exceptional service and involvement in the community in a student with economic need whose goal is to work in a non-profit agency.

The Foundation would like to endow Ed’s scholarship so it can be given out for years to come.  Can you help endow his scholarship?
