Barleben earns Player of the Week honor

A big week at the plate has earned Albion High graduate and Ashland University senior Connor Barleben Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Payer of the Week honors.
Barleben went 12 for 20 at the plate last week in helping Ashland register six victories, two over West Liberty and four over Saginaw Valley State.
He drove in a total of 13 runs, scored 9 runs, hit three home runs and two doubles. He had 9 hits and 6 RBIs in the sweep of Saginaw.
Now hitting .405 for the season with 8 home runs, he leads the league in slugging percentage at .798.
