Description: This award and scholarship is presented annually by the Albion High School Alumni Foundation to a high school senior who has demonstrated an outstanding high school art career. This recognition consists of a $500 Excellence in Art Award and a $4,500 scholarship, which is renewable in the amount of $5,000 for up to three additional years.

$500 at Class Night.
$4,500 scholarship after 1st semester of 1st year.
$5,000 scholarship after 1st semester for up to three additional years.

Selection criteria: The art award will be awarded to a high school senior who has demonstrated an outstanding high school art career. This award and scholarship is intended to honor exceptional commitment and achievement in art at the high school level.

This award will be presented at Class Night or its equivalent. The scholarship portion will be disbursed at the conclusion of the student’s first semester of post-secondary education, and renewable for up to an additional three years.

Who selects: Alumni Foundation Scholarship Committee upon review of the recommendations of Albion High School art teachers.

Criteria to earn: The scholarship portion will be disbursed at the conclusion of the student’s first semester of post-secondary education, provided the student achieves a minimum Grade Point Average of 2.0 or better for full-time study. Subsequent payments are made after the first semester of the following school years, contingent on maintaining a 2.0 GPA or above for full-time study. For students attending a trade school, the scholarship will be awarded upon earning a passing grade or certification in their course study.
