Albion Purple Eagles Marching Band
Performing after the 2014 Strawberry Festival Parade
A fundraising contest was held to pick a guest Band Director for the Albion Purple Eagles performance at the food court after the parade. “Votes” for six local celebrities were sold and the one that garnered the most votes won the chance to direct the Albion Purple Eagles Marching Band as they played “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”, by the rock group Queen during this performance. Father Dick Csizmar, Pastor of Holy Family R.C. Church since 1994 won the contest! The $1.00 “votes” generated $4000 for this fundraiser, which helped fund the band’s trip to Philadelphia. The following photos are of Father Dick in his role as Guest Band Director of the Albion Purple Eagles Marching Band on Saturday, June 14, 2014.
