Cheer along to the Albion Fight Song!

Class of 1939 – Addie Scibetta and Jean Johnston sang this song at their 70th reunion. Addie wrote down the words to the song. Here it is as she remembered it…

Albion Fight Song

When dear old Albion High School falls in line

We’re gonna win this game another time.

For white and purple that we love so well

And for the varsity we’ll yell, oh yes we’ll yell!

And then we’ll fight, fight, fight for every score

And then we’ll circle in and gain some more.

We’ll surely fold Medina in the sod,

Yes by gosh, Rah-Rah-Rah!

This fight song was played at pep assemblies and home football games in the ’80s – ’90s. The band director at the time, David Bittner, used the University of Iowa’s fight song for the tune. The band and student body sang the words on the 2nd verse.

Albion Fight Song

The word is fight, fight, fight for Albion,

Let every loyal eagle sing,

The word is fight, fight, fight for Albion,

Until the walls and rafters ring,

C’mon and cheer, cheer, cheer for Albion,

We’re gonna cheer until we hear the final gun,

We’re gonna fight, fight, fight for Albion,

Until the game is won!
