Hybrid Engines

A hybrid engine uses an electric motor and a gasoline engine.   The motor also operates as an electric generator to charge the batteries.   The motor is placed between the engine and the transaxle and both can be used to power the car.   After the batteries are charged, the engine shuts down and the motor moves the car.   The engine operates when the batteries run down.
